Pure deceleration in a very special hideaway in Apulia. In the remote village of Gagliano del Capo, Francesco Petrucci carefully renovated his 150-year-old Palazzo Daniele, which has been family-owned for five generations.

He transformed the Palazzo Daniele into a stylish little hotel with nine spacious suites and exceptional art and design objects. An ingenious mix of historical and modern elements: Each of the suites is furnished in a minimalist style with splendid ceiling frescoes and mosaic floors. Overlooking either the piazza, the green courtyards or the pool area. Grown Alchemist natural products are available in every bathroom.

One of the highlights: The Royal Junior Suite with its six meter high ceilings and a "living" art installation in the bathroom, in which the water from the shower falls from the six meter high ceiling onto a basin designed by the Italian artist Andrea Sala.

However, the heart of the sister hotel of the hip Roman G-Rough is the 200 square metre suite apartment, which takes up a complete wing of the palazzo - with a kitchen of its own, a living room, three bedrooms and bathrooms, and a dining room.

Of course, Donata prepares breakfast exclusively with organic produce from local farms. Lunch and dinner are also cooked by her on request - offering only the finest regional specialties. Favorite activity for the guests: Going out to the sea in the morning with the neighboring fishermen, chilling at the (unheated) pool and later enjoying the aperitivo in the orange garden (double room from approx. 350 €, palazzodaniele.com).
