    Schindelbruch Nature Resort

Already stressed again after the first weeks of work in January? Tip: a trip to the southern Harz Mountains! A few hours of wellness at the Schindelbruch Nature Resort in the middle of the forest - and all trouble will be forgotten.

Owner Clemens Ritter von Kempski is committed to green relaxation and sustainability in the elegant, cosy four-star hotel, situated on a meadow between dense trees.

In 2009, it was the first "climate-neutral hotel in Central Germany" to receive an award and the EMAS III certificate for above-average environmental management from the European Union. In Schindelbruch the entire building is heated in an environmentally friendly way using a wood pellet heating system and a photovoltaic system. Green electricity is generated 100 percent from hydropower. In addition, there is a gentle water-saving technology, energy-saving lamps, regional and seasonal cuisine and the in-house electric filling station. Wonderful for relaxation: the three-storey bath house directly at the edge of the forest with a 115 sqm pool and a wonderful sunny roof terrace. And the sauna village with its Kneipp pools. The most beautiful place to get down, however, is the relaxation room "Waldkoje": from the large glass windows you can see the dense green tops. Further highlights of the house: the beautifully furnished 98 rooms, dinner in the historic royal hunting lodge Holzeule and the charming hotel director Susanne Kiefer. A walk to the picturesque small town of Stolberg is a must (from approx. 139 € per person including breakfast and dinner, www.schindelbruch.de).
