It was at the age of four that Julia Jung held a needle and thread in her hand for the first time - at that time she was still living with her family in Kazakhstan in a small village near the border to China. Fashion shows were often held at her home and she knew early on, even without access to western media, that one day she would do something with "fashion".
At the age of ten, she moved to Germany and studied textile technology and fashion design after graduating from high school.
Today, Julia is 36 years old. After several years as a designer for various labels, she decided to start her own eponymous label JULIA JUNG.

Her goal: to design the perfect dress that can be worn for longer than one season and can be combined easily with other garments. The high-quality and sustainable production of her designs is particularly important to her.

The basis for this: perfect craftsmanship. After all, there is hardly any other industry in which so many items are still made by hand. All garments are designed and produced in a German atelier. Fabrics and accessories come from Europe, mostly from small manufacturers. Besides the look and feel, the compositions and certifications of the materials also play a big role. Julia avoids fabrics made of polyester and viscose and instead uses natural materials such as silk, cotton and wool.

Ultimately, sustainability for Julia means only producing what the customer really wants. Without large stocks where everything is sold off in an endless sale at the end of the season. After all, value and desirability are the basis for a long life of a fashionpiece.
